‘Abusive’ dad ‘made daughter, 4, drink out of powdered juice and bleach’

A 28-year-old father has been arrested after deputies said he tried to kill his 4-year-old daughter in Orange County.
Michael Dublin was arrested on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse following a May incident in the Tangelo Park area of Orlando, Florida.
The accused is still being held in jail for holding his daughter down as he poured the toxic mixture in her mouth then holding a pillow over her face, suffocating her until she swallowed.
According to latest released evidence and body camera footage shows Dublin casually confronting police as family members scream in the background.
“He [Dublin] put bleach and a flavor packet in there, he shake it up, and let her drink it. Put it in her mouth, she’s holding it, he put a pillow over her head, and then started suffocating her, and then she swallowed it,” a young member of the family said.
The relative continued: “I heard her screaming ‘Help Me! Help Me!” We were in the backroom, and he said “Get out of here! It’s none of your business.”
The officer noted that Dublin ‘did not appear to have any remorse,’ and that he seemed more concerned about being arrested than his daughter’s life.
Another family member told police that they were able to pull Dublin off of the girl before giving her CPR.
Several family members said Dublin is bipolar and schizophrenic, but they also believe the attack on his child was sparked by a call he had with the girl’s mother earlier that day. She told a detective about that phone call in which she had told Dublin she did not want to get back together.
Witnesses told police that at the time of the alleged attack, he did not have the custody of his daughter.
In the past, he has already been convicted of battery, theft, and drug-related charges.
