Strictly Come Dancing confirm YouTube star Saffron Barker as fourth contestant
For the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 line-up, Saffron Barker is the 4th star to be confirmed. On Heart FM breakfast with JK and Kelly Brook the former Strictly contestant Ashley Roberts confirmed the news.
For the upcoming series, Saffron will be joining before revealed former footballer David James, EastEnders actress Emma Barton and comedian Chris Ramsay.
Social media is 19 years old and has an average of 15 million views per month on her YouTube channels and has more than 4 million followers on her various social media platforms.
She said that she was excited as well as nervous about her first appearance on the hit BBC dancing show. She told, ‘I am very excited to go on the Strictly journey and am also feeling very thankful for the opportunity! I am looking ahead to learn all dance forms, finding out that who is my partner, getting to wear the dresses and to only experience this once in a lifetime break.’
After Joe Sugg became the first YouTuber to take part in the competition previous year, her appearance on Strictly comes.
Yesterday, Former England goalkeeper James opened up about his look on Strictly says, ‘I am very excited to be a part of Strictly this year. At present, Bookies have odds on tentative contestants including names such as Una Healy, Jodie Comer, Chris Evans and Michelle Visage.
It was revealed by Radio DJ Evans previous year that he had spoken to Strictly show bosses, but current reports have suggested he might not be among this year’s line-up. Apart from this, in due course, the remaining celebrity contestants joining the new series will be declared.
