Tom Brady signs two-year, $70 million contract extension with Patriots: reports

Tom Brady, New England Patriots quarterback according to media reports has agreed to a 2 year $70 million contract extension. 

Brady, a six-time Super Bowl champion as well as one of the best players the game has ever recognized, will also get a hefty raise this season. Under the new contract, he will get $8 million raise in the year 2019, bringing up his salary to a large $23 million. The extension also calls for him to be paid $30 million in 2020 and in the year 2021 when he will be 44 $32 million.

He told reporters, ‘Have I earned extension? I don’t know.’ ‘That was up for a debate of talk show. What do you think? Should we take a poll?’

In Super Bowl LIII, Brady, 42 years old, led the Patriots to a 13-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams. He is only 1 of 4 players to have won six NFL titles.

The others are Forrest Gregg and Herb Adderley and their teammate, Fuzzy Thurston, who all played for Green Bay Packers of Vince Lombardi. 

Moreover, on September 8, Brady as well as the Patriots will open their season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
